RU486 Important dosage Information
RU486 medicine is usually administered within 49 days after the beginning of last menstrual period. Pills are available in the strength of 200mcg. Initially three pills of 200mcg (Total 600 mcg) are to be consumed. If this attempt is unsuccessful, further dose of 400mcg (2 tablets of 200mcg) is to be used after two days. If it fails to terminate pregnancy, resorting to other termination methods like surgical abortion are recommended.

This medication is not to be used by breastfeeding women. If combined with heavy smoking (more than 10 cigarettes per day) harmful complications are possible. Other risk factors are as follows:-
