Mifegyne – Some mistakes can be corrected!

Mifegyne is a well-known abortion pill which allows women to get rid of unwanted pregnancy. This medication belongs to a class of prostaglandins which are often used as emergency contraceptives. It acts by blocking progesterone receptors in the uterus. The hormone progesterone is essential for successful continuation of pregnancy. In the absence of this hormone, the uterus gets contracted as a result of which, termination of pregnancy occurs.
